What Other Activities Are There For Body Building Other Than Gym?

I've been interested in building up my body for a long time now. I have repeatedly gone to the gym past couple of months. It has done me lot of good but I just really don't enjoy the gym. I rarely go to the gym with enthusiasm which truthfully doesn't help me put up the best effort. Are there any other activities I could take which help build me up? Any examples and procedures are welcome! Thanks!

Before gyms were so abundant most people did a lot of push ups and sit ups. You can be your own gym, go to www.charlesatlas.com and look through the forums.
I don't hate gyms, they just don't do that much for me either.

    you can take up wrestling or rock climbing i suppose..but i still think the gym is by far the best

    I think any kind of exercise will help build up your body. If you don’t like the gym, why not take up a sport like rugby? You could also start bike riding, rock climbing, or some other social activity like that. I find that exercise is a lot easier in a social, fun setting.

    For bodybuilding and muscle building you cannot beat the gym. Doesn’t mean everything has to be done in the gym but certainly some of it.

    You could perhaps go down to two sessions a week using only big movements like squats, dead lifts, benches, rows etc.

    Other times you could try to get out of the gym and use the likes of sandbags, prowler, big tyres etc

    You should look about your area for local strongman clubs as this will do all the activities listed above.

    Tanning and meeting other bodybuilders that have a little more experience, that could show u on how to perfect the Human Body and finding out the History of the great Sport plays a good roll as well . If your real serious about the sport your whole life will eventually revolve around it.
