How To Gain Muscle Mass

Gaining muscle mass is something that will not just benefit your appearance by giving you an enviable physique. It will also benefit your health tremendously. This is because your metabolism is automatically sped up by additional muscle mass. It means your body will be able to burn fat more efficiently. You know that you also reduce your risk of succumbing to various illnesses when you reduce your body fat. Very necessary for gaining muscle mass is proper weight training, proper diet and proper sleep.

Weight training in general means resistance training. The resistance you need can be achieved with free weights, weight training machines or even your own body weight. Examples of free weights are dumbbells and barbells. You can do push ups, pull ups, chin ups and dips as body weight exercises. Weight training machines have cables and pulleys that assist you in lifting weight. By focusing your efforts on free weight workouts, the maximum amount of muscle mass can be gained more quickly although all weight lifting exercises are good for strength training and toning. With the use of heavy free weights with low repetitions you will also be able to achieve rapid muscle growth. Choose a weight that is heavy enough that you are unable to lift it for more than four to eight repetitions. By giving your muscles and nervous system the necessary stress challenge, this can stimulate muscle building.

To be able to build muscle mass, you need to eat enough calories. These have to come from the right kinds of food, though. Unhealthy fats and simple carbohydrates that are mainly sugar and starch must be cut out. These will most likely be stored as fat. You must rather consume only lean protein, healthy fats like Omega 3 fats and unsaturated fats, and complex carbohydrates with high fiber content. Take six small meals of these recommended foods every day. From the morning up to three hours before bedtime you should be eating a light meal every three hours. Do not forget to drink enough water throughout the day to keep your body well hydrated and to enable you to efficiently flush out the metabolic wastes produced by your workouts. Finally, supplement your diet with multivitamins and anti-oxidants to support the body.

Sleep is also a necessity in gaining muscle mass. The body can only repair and build muscles during deep sleep. Without enough sleep your weight training and your eating patterns can not be translated into maximum muscle mass building.

It is worth your while to do proper weight training, follow the proper diet and get proper sleep to gain muscle mass. Even if you want to do this just to look good, you will still gain all the health benefits associated with it.

Does The "Up Your Mass" Muscle Building Supplement Work? How Long Will It Take To Build Muscle With It?

Can I just follow a regular workout routine when using it?

It looks like an excellent product. I would take one shake after your workout and another before bedtime. If you haven't used a good protein supplement before than expect to see good results in as soon as two or three weeks. Make sure that your training is heavy and intense to warrant the expense of the supplement.
