I ain`t no supplement ho and I actually don`t recommend using any supplements on a regular basis besides protein powder, fish and in the winter time Vitamin D3. But there are certain scenarios where other supplements can help you out...if you use them right. I`m going to outline today my thoughts on creatine, the most popular muscle building supplement out there.
Creatine for increased work capacity
Creatine is one of the most misunderstood supplements to take. Its not a steroid. Creatine is found naturally in your body. Real creatine does increase your work capacity, and can assist in gaining more strength and lean muscle mass over time. It ain't no wonder supplement and is actually found naturally in things like beef. The bottom line is if you don't have your regular eating in order and training regularly, it ain't going to make you grow a third arm, I'd only recommend it to intermediate lifters.
For those lifters, the key is creatine monohydrate for somewhere reputable like a micronized German creatine. I would recommend 3-5 grams post-workout.
Now those with liver problems, gut problems or any other medicial problems should stay away from creatine.
Should YOU use creatine? If you are training consistently, seeing results, and already have a solid foundation. Do I currently supplement with creatine? No and thats because my nutrition is DIALED in.
Remember you can't supplement a training routine and poor diet with a wonder supplement. And see the article in the description for more info. Besides my favourite white powder is cocaine. Seriously.
Here is a great article with more info

Why You Need To Avoid Dairy: Tips For The Paleo Diet Program
Written by Jeffrey on December 14, 2011 – 3:47 am -Vast Scientific Evidence Implies That People Are A lot better Off Without Dairy Products
The vast majority of Americans have been raised to believe that nothing is healthier for them than to "drink your milk." The massive dairy industry marketing media machine bombards us each day with “Got Milk” advertising, and virtually about just about every school district in the U.S. has deals with big business and our government to supply dairy products to our kids.
It seems a settled point of commonplace knowledge that milk, and other dairy product for example cheese, are perfect calcium-providing, bone-building, nutritious food products that we simply can’t live without.
Having said that a good look at just how dairy impacts your body paints a much more disturbing image. To begin with, does it seem natural to consume the milk of another animal? We will probably all agree that a new mother breastfeeding her newborn with human milk makes perfect sense. But even humans quit ingesting mother’s milk after a year or so. Why continue to drink the milk of some other animal throughout adulthood? Absolutely no other animal in nature drinks milk for a lifetime.
The truth is, dairy products have been associated with a number of major health conditions. The first is diabetes. Within a report published in the Journal of Proteome Research, a connection had been made between certain proteins in cow’s milk and diabetes. Milk could induce a child’s natural immune system to create T-Cells which in turn adversely affect insulin-making beta cells in the pancreas. Yes, the study is still not conclusive, but increasingly more, it’s looking like diary products may be a underlying cause for diabetes.
What’s substantially more definitive is that dairy product can play a role in cardiovascular disease. Finland, for instance, has one of the highest rates of dairy products consumption, and also the highest rate of heart disease.
Another significant problem is the artificial ways in which dairy cattle are forced to produce enormous quantities of milk in order that more profit can be made for each and every cow. To make it happen, cows are being injected with a cocktail of hormones as well as drugs, both to produce more milk faster (and unnaturally) as well as to keep them from getting the many health problems brought on by their restricted, congested environments.
Dairy products have in addition been clearly tagged as being a significant contributor to difficulties with congestion, the development of excess mucus, along with lung and sinus problems.
Cow’s milk has long been known to inhibit the absorption of iron inside the human body, and milk has absolutely no iron of its own.
We have only touched upon the range of health problems related to dairy products, especially amongst those who consume a dairy every day. But the last reason to avoid dairy has nothing to do with your health - but the horrible cruelty in the manner cattle are handled by greedy, factory commercial farms that want to squeeze the most production as well as profit as they can out of each cow.
Most cows never have the opportunity to wander a green grassy field on a sunny hot summer day. They are limited to dismal dark cages with barely enough room to take a step within, and some never are permitted to lay down.
In fact, most cattle are not allowed to eat grass at all, and grass is actually their only natural food. Nearly all livestock are filled up with corn-based feeds. Cows are even raised on meat-based byproducts - which is entirely unnatural for livestock to consume considering that Mother Nature intended them to be grass-eating creatures!
The bottom line is, you don’t require dairy to be in good health. And over and above that, dairy products are almost certainly detrimental to your health. The evidence is overwhelming.

NSF International Featured On Peter’s Principles: NSF Dietary Supplement Certification Program
Written by admin on November 5, 2011 – 5:58 pm -
NSF International, an independent organization, has helped to develop and write standards for food, water, and the environment for over 65 years; including the only accredited American National Standard for dietary supplements NSF/ANSI Standard 173. To ensure consistency with the new U.S. FDA regulations, NSF released the revised NSF/ANSI Standard 173 in June of last year and includes updated good manufacturing practices (GMP) and testing requirements. Certification of products to this standard provides consumers confidence that what is on the label matches what is in the product. Certification also verifies that dietary supplements are produced in accordance with GMPs and do not contain harmful contaminants through purity testing.

Multivitamins – Good For Health And Fitness?
Written by admin on October 29, 2011 – 1:49 am -
Practically everybody - men, women, children, cats and dogs - are using or have at some point used vitamin supplements. But are vitamins from multivitamin supplement tablets as good as those from fruits and vegetables? What brand should you be using? Can you overdose vitamins and experience side effects? Do you really need them for health, bodybuilding or fitness? And are vitamins and their "antioxidants" all that make fruits and vegetables healthy?
If you wondered about these questions, think you need a multivitamin supplement because you are into running or bodybuilding or just want to protect your health and don't know yet what a "phytonutrient" is, this video is for you.
Here is the research behind it:
- Natural vs. synthetic vitamins

- Phytonutrients as important as vitamins
Health benefits of fruit and vegetables are from additive and synergistic combinations of phytochemicals. Liu RH. American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Vol. 78, No. 3, 517S-520S, September 2003
